ABOUT OUTBACK AIR RACE

Outback Air Race is a GPS-based navigation time trial throughout the remote Australian outback.

The aim is to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, competitors and spectators have raised over $1.5 million since its inception in 1996. All funds from each race go towards outfitting RFDS aircraft with essential medical equipment, vital for treating sick and injured patients.

Peter has taken part in a previous OAR was was nooked after seeing our beautiful country from such a unique perspective. Peter has seen how important the RFDS is for remote communities and also for travellers in the outback and is looking forward to raising funds for such a worthwhile cause.

Jo works as part of Friends of Binna Burra, Lamington National Park community group, but when a spot was offered in OAR 2015 she took all of a minute to say ‘YES’. The concept of raising funds for RFDS, travelling this great country and having a rollicking good time is contagious Jo says.
